Chrome Filters

Chrome In-Tank Suction Filters are designed to filter hydraulic fluid before it reaches the hydraulic pump. Installed inside the hydraulic reservoir, these filters help prevent larger particles and contaminants from entering the suction line and protect pumps and other hydraulic components against premature wear.

Hydraulic oil can become contaminated with dust, metal particles, wear debris and other foreign materials during equipment operation. If contaminants enter the pump, they can cause abrasion, reduced efficiency and damage to sensitive internal components. In-tank suction filters provide an initial level of protection by capturing contaminants as hydraulic fluid is drawn from the reservoir.

Chrome-plated filter components offer a durable construction suitable for hydraulic applications where resistance to corrosion and mechanical conditions is required. Filter elements can be produced in different dimensions, filtration ratings and flow capacities according to the hydraulic system design and equipment requirements.

In-tank suction filters are commonly used in construction machinery, agricultural equipment, industrial hydraulic systems, mobile machinery and other applications where hydraulic fluid is stored and circulated from a reservoir. Proper filter selection should consider pump flow rate, suction conditions, filtration rating, connection dimensions and the characteristics of the hydraulic oil.

Regular inspection and maintenance are important to prevent excessive restriction in the suction line. A clogged filter can increase suction resistance and may contribute to pump cavitation or reduced hydraulic system performance. Filter elements should therefore be inspected and replaced according to operating conditions and maintenance requirements.

Roffix provides in-tank suction filter solutions for hydraulic systems, including chrome-plated filter configurations manufactured according to required dimensions, connection types and technical specifications.
